1. Case Study Overview

AC Forest Ltd. proudly partnered with the City of Chilliwack to complete two major public sauna renovations at the Cheam Leisure Centre and the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre.

2. Project 1 – Cheam Leisure Centre Sauna Renovation

The existing sauna at Cheam Leisure Centre was outdated, heat-damaged, and structurally compromised. AC Forest rebuilt the sauna completely using clear-grade Western Red Cedar, carefully fine-sanded at the AC Forest facility to achieve a smooth, uniform finish free of splinters and defects.

Challenges & Solutions
The existing structure required re-leveling and added backing for proper load support. Prefabrication and precision sanding performed at the AC Forest facility reduced installation time and guaranteed a superior surface finish.

The Chilliwack Landing sauna required a full resurfacing due to charred ceilings and moisture accumulation. The City sought a modern, low-maintenance solution that would withstand years of heavy use.
